HUSOC Took Part in Welcoming a Privy Councilor
On the 20th June 2019, it was an honor for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Akkarapom Nuemaihom, the Dean, along with administrators, villagers and students, to welcome a Privy Councilor, General Dapong Rattanasuwan, on his official visit to Buriram Rajabhat University. The Privy Councilor was here in order to monitor the project “Rajabhat Strategies for Local Development”. HUSOC together with Sustainable and Green Nangrong Preserving Group, exhibited academic works carried out in the areas of Khok Wan Village and Nong Takai Noi Village in Nangrong District, Buriram Province.
Evaluation of Work and Performance of the HUSOC Dean
Asst. Prof. Dr. Akkarapon Nuemaihom, the Dean of HUSOC, underwent an evaluation on his work and performance as a Dean. This was carried out according to Buriram Rajabhat University’s mission statement, on 14th May 2019, at Phuttaraksa Meeting Room, Floor 3, Building 15. Assoc. Prof. Prasit Suwannarak was officially invited to be the chairman for this evaluation.
Internal Educational Quality Assurance at Faculty Level
On the 21st June 2019, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Buriram Rajabhat University was evaluated on internal education assurance at a faculty level, for the academic year 2018, at Chaikanarakkul Meeting Room. The three evaluating committee members were as follows: 1) Asst. Prof. Dr. Chonlada Pongpattanayothin, (Chairman); 2) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jakkrapong Puang-ngamcheun; and 3) Mr. Somchok Ritjumroon. The points for this year were 4.11 out of 5.
Internal Education Quality Assurance Evaluation of HUSOC Curricula
From the 27th May to the 10th June 2019, all 11 HUSOC curricular were evaluated on internal quality assurance for the academic year 2018. The results were as follows: 1) Public Administration program scored 3.78, 2) Business English program scored 3.37, 3) Thai Language program scored 3.40, 4) English program scored 3.64, 5) Law program scored 3.49, 6) Computer Arts and Design scored 3.31, 7) Music program scored 3.54, 8) Social Development program scored 3.88, 9) Library and Information Science program scored 3.70, 10) English program (Master’s degree) scored 3.98, and 11) Public Administration program (Master’s degree) scored 3.88. All scores were out of 5.
HUSOC Organized Tree Planting as a Joint Community Building Activity
On the 15th June 2019, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Akkarapon Nuemaihom, the Dean, together with administrators, students, monks and villagers joined together to plant trees at Khok Wan Village, Nong Sano Sub-district, Nangrong District, Buriram Province.
Congratulations to Two New Assistant Professors!
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences would like to congratulate two HUSOC lecturers on the occasion of receiving new academic positions as “Assistant Professors”. The two lecturers are as follows: 1) Assistant Professor Worratep Uttaworadetch, and 2) Assistant Professor Ratchadaporn Suntornthanapirom. Both are from the Law Program.
HUSOC Freshmen Orientation Activity 2019
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a “Freshmen Orientation Activity 2019” on Sunday 12th May 2019 at Rajabhat Complex Meeting Room, Floor 6, Anekkhunakhan Building. The objectives of this activity were to inform the students about education and life in the university, and to provide them with information about HUSOC student activities. This project also created relationships among freshmen, seniors, and lecturers.
HUSOC Freshmen Welcoming Day 2019
Student Affairs and Arts and Culture Division, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences held the activity “Freshmen Welcoming Day 2019” under the project “Developing Desirable Graduates” on the 24th May 2019 at Building 25, Buriram Rajabhat University. The purposes of this activity were to promote HUSOC students’ unity and harmony, to make merit, and to introduce HUSOC buildings. Moreover, they joined in the activities via different learning stations, and a concert. About 500 students actively participated in this creative event.

Hi, my name is Rob and I come from Scotland. I first came to Thailand way back in 2008. I first started teaching English in Surat Thani 2010.
In August 2011, I first came to Buriram. I did two years at Anuban Buriram School and two years at Buriram Pitthayakhom School.
I then decided to head off to Saudi Arabia for three and a half years. There I was teaching Army and Navy cadets. Just one and a half months ago I returned to Buriram.
It’s great to be back here and even better to be at Buriram Rajabhat University. I am looking forward to a rewarding time teaching at this very famous university.

On the 27th April 2019, the Law Program carried out a project which was held in the meeting room in Building 14, Buriram Rajabhat University. The purposes were to give educational guidelines, and to provide overall knowledge for the new students.
